02 — Scope

What we tear down.

Six categories cover the majority of commercial and industrial demolition work. Each one is self-performed by Pillars of Seven crews with the right equipment, permits, and disposal logistics.

01 / Structural

Structural Demolition

Full building take-downs — multi-story commercial, industrial, and multi-family structures. Utility disconnections, surveyed take-down sequencing, and controlled execution with adjacent-property protection.

02 / Selective

Selective Demolition

Surgical removal of specific elements — walls, floors, ceilings, fixtures — while leaving the rest of the structure intact. Tenant turns, renovation prep, and partial-scope work.

03 / Interior

Interior Strip-Out

Tenant improvement demolition and gut renovations. Walls, ceilings, flooring, MEP rough-in, and finishes removed to shell condition. Dust and noise controls built in.

04 / Concrete

Concrete & Slab Removal

Slab-on-grade removal, foundation demolition, concrete cutting, and breaking. Recycled on-site when feasible or hauled to licensed concrete recyclers.

05 / Site Clearing

Site Clearing

Vegetation removal, grading prep, debris removal, and site preparation for new construction. Coordinated with civil and grading teams for hand-off.

06 / Specialty

Specialty Scope

Pool demolition and haul-off, garage tear-downs, deck removal, and other specialty work. Permits pulled, utilities handled, and the site left clean for next use.

Site Survey

On-site walk-through, existing-condition documentation, hazmat screening referral where required, and scope confirmation.

2
Week 1

Proposal

Itemized estimate with labor, equipment, permits, and disposal. Alternates flagged. Recycling credits noted where applicable.

3
Pre-Mob

Permits & Prep

Demolition permits pulled, utility disconnections coordinated, tenant notifications sent, and protective enclosures installed before work begins.

4
Execution

Demo & Haul-Off

Self-perform crews execute with daily progress reports, photo documentation, and continuous debris removal to keep the site safe.

5
Close-out

Final Clean

Disposal manifests filed, recycling documentation provided when requested, final cleanup, and site turned over ready for next trade.

04 — Projects

Work that clears the way.

Three representative demolition engagements — scope, location, and outcome. Full portfolio and references available on request.

05 — FAQ

Questions we hear on every site walk.

If your question isn't below, call (832) 548-0660 or request a quote. We respond inside one business day.

What types of demolition do you perform?
Structural demolition of full buildings, selective interior demolition for tenant improvements and renovations, concrete and slab removal, site clearing, and specialty work like pool demolition and garage tear-downs. Scope ranges from multi-story structural takedowns to surgical interior strip-outs.
Do you handle permits and regulatory compliance?
Yes. We pull demolition permits, coordinate with local building departments, and document scope to the standards required by the jurisdiction. For industrial sites, we coordinate with owner EHS teams on hazmat surveys, asbestos and lead abatement (through licensed partners when required), and disposal manifests.
Can you work around active operations or occupied buildings?
Yes. Selective interior demolition in occupied buildings is a major part of our work — apartment-community tenant turns, retail and office tenant improvements, and industrial partial-shutdown work. We build protective enclosures, dust controls, and noise mitigation into the plan before work starts.
What happens to the debris?
We haul off and dispose at licensed facilities, with documentation of weight tickets and disposal manifests for owner records. Recyclable material — concrete, metal, clean wood — is diverted to recyclers when feasible. For projects that need formal diversion reporting, we coordinate documentation with the owner's sustainability team.
How quickly can you mobilize?
Small selective jobs can mobilize within days. Structural demolition typically requires 2-4 weeks for permits, surveys, and utility disconnections. Emergency response for storm damage, fire damage, or safety hazards is faster — call (832) 548-0660 to discuss timing for an urgent scope.
Why Pillars of Seven over a standalone demolition contractor?
We're a commercial general contractor with in-house demolition crews. That means when demolition is the first phase of a larger renovation or rebuild, you get one contract, one schedule, and one point of accountability — not a demolition company handing off to a GC who didn't see the site.
