05 — FAQ

Questions we hear on walkthroughs.

If your question isn't below, call (832) 548-0660 or request a quote. We respond inside one business day.

What commercial electrical scope do you self-perform?
Tenant improvement electrical, panel and service upgrades, lighting and controls installation, emergency and life safety circuits, and low-voltage coordination for data, AV, and security rough-in. We handle new commercial buildouts and renovation electrical across office, retail, medical, and multi-family verticals.
Do you work as a subcontractor to other general contractors?
Yes. We operate as a prime electrical subcontractor on commercial projects for other GCs — particularly where our schedule certainty, in-house crew availability, and commercial TI experience add value. We also deliver electrical scope on our own general contracting projects where we self-perform.
Can you coordinate with our low-voltage vendor?
Yes. We handle rough-in coordination for data, telecom, AV, security, and access control — working directly with the owner's specialty vendors on pull string, conduit, junction box sizing, and device placement. We handle the line-voltage side; they handle the specialty install.
How quickly can you mobilize for TI schedule pressure?
Commercial TI typically drives aggressive schedules tied to lease commencement dates. We size crews to the schedule, run multiple shifts when required, and work nights and weekends in occupied buildings when that's what the project needs.
Are you licensed and insured for commercial electrical work?
Yes. Pillars of Seven operates commercial electrical work under Texas licensure, carries general liability and workers' comp insurance at limits appropriate for commercial projects, and bonds work as required by owner or lender.
Why choose Pillars of Seven over a standalone commercial electrician?
We're a commercial general contractor with in-house electrical crews. If your scope expands into demolition, roofing, or broader TI coordination, we handle it with one point of accountability rather than managing multiple subs. Single-trade electricians can't offer that integration.
